So I have attempted to start a new hobby for our family. If you haven't heard of geocaching its like a little "treasure" hunt, where you try and find caches that other people have hidden using a gps and coordinates for the cache (which can be found online). I have only done a couple and it has been pretty fun. You can take little trinkets and take something and leave something.
My very first cache was with Tiffany and her boys. It took us a while longer to find than I would have like, and we had a little more bushwhacking than was probably good with 5 kids 5 and under, but it was still a fun little rush we we found the hidden box and peeked inside.
We attempted my second cache as a family outing with Michelle and Kristine up Adam's canyon where there are several hidden. We found the first one pretty easy, but left before we could locate the second one of the day. Over all, it was pretty fun, and it makes going on a hike a little more exciting, especially when I know we will not be able to hike as long or far as we used to in the pre-kids adventure days. Even if we didn't make it to the good waterfall at the end...we still found something neat!

That's great that you guys are getting into goecaching. It's totally fun, cheap and you always get a different adventure!
Maybe we should try geocaching since hikes around here never end up anywhere too exciting. It looks like y'all had fun!
