Visitors from KY

Still trying to play catch up with my posts, so here is another one from this last summer.
This past August, my older sister convinced my younger sister to hop in the car and drive the 18+ hours with her family and head west from Kentucky.  Although we had already gone to visit them earlier in the summer, it was fun for them to come west.  Here are a few of the fun  moments we had.

Two little cousins swinging together, Ada and Atticus.

The kids playing in the water and mud along  the Poudre River.

Aunt DeNae  putting nail polish on Esmé and Sam.

Jammy time!

Games involving big sticks and swing rope, i'm sure this ended well.

A hike where everyone was having fun;)

At the end of the hike there was a this cool old tree that was perfect for climbing.

Everyone poses after a footrace.

This picture and the expressions on their faces cracks me up.

More water fun at the splash pad in the park.

As a last minute decision, I trained for 6 weeks and joined DeNae and Emma for the GTIS half marathon. DeNae kicked our butts, but I'm proud of Emma and myself for doing our best and finishing. Especially considering my short training, and Emma's elevation gain of over 5000 feet.

Here are the kids goofing around after the race.
